AI can give one person the capacity to package years of expertise or solve a small personal problem, then distribute the result far beyond its original setting.

Piers used AI to build WalletPlayground.com, turning four or five years of teaching Bitcoin self-custody into an interactive tool. People can practise different combinations of wallet coordination software and hardware signing devices, with guided runs through self-custody techniques and best practices. The knowledge no longer has to be delivered through the same one-to-one lesson each time.
The same capacity can address a specific personal need. Piers wanted a live backup of everything he kept in iCloud on equipment he controlled, so he used AI to build GetMyCloud.com. On a flight to Europe, he also built WiFiToQR.app to solve a much smaller problem. Instead of asking visitors to type a long Wi-Fi password, the utility lets them scan a QR code.
Once a focused solution becomes software, existing distribution channels can carry it well beyond its maker. Piers published WiFiToQR.app through the Microsoft Store and Apple, then discovered that hundreds of people around the world had installed it. A utility created to remove one small inconvenience during a flight had become useful to people its creator had never met.
